BIG MOMENTS & LESSONS IN 2024
The one thing I (re)learn every year from farming, it’s that plants grow on their schedule, not mine. Rushing Mother Nature doesn’t end well—kind of like rushing a cat to do anything. So, I’m doing my best to let things unfold at their own pace. The flowers appreciate it (and so does my sanity).

Turns out, building three 60-foot greenhouses takes a lot of sweat, patience, and some good old-fashioned family teamwork. Without my family, I’d probably still be tangled in pipes and greenhouse plastic. Lesson learned: No one succeeds solo (and bribing family with home-cooked meals works wonders).

From microscopic spider mites to jora spiders with an attitude, let’s just say the farm’s “welcoming committee” gave me a true run for my money. I’ve been beaten, bruised, and bled—nature does not play nice. But hey, I’m still standing (albeit with a few extra scars for street cred).
